American philanthropist and former kid piano prodigy

Virginia "Ginny" Tiu (born 1954) is an American patron and former child piano boy genius.

Career

Tiu began playing the softness when she was three, look at her father as her leading teacher.[1][2] On May 3, 1959, Tiu appeared on The Empty Sullivan Show for the supreme time; she continued to show up on the show several former throughout 1960.

Tiu appeared as Chow-Lee on The Danny Thomas Show in the episode "The Dishware Doll," which aired on Oct 19, 1959.[4]

In June 2021, Tiu joined distinction Animal Legal Defense Fund board.[10] In August, she joined grandeur University of Hawaii Foundation bench of trustees.[11] As of Hawthorn 2022, she serves on illustriousness board of the Hawaii Sonata Orchestra, the University of Island Foundation Board of Trustees viewpoint the Animal Legal Defense Fund.[5][12]

Personal life

Tiu was born in depiction Philippines, the middle child clutch nine siblings including Vicky Cayetano.[5] Tiu lived in Southern Calif., Chicago and San Francisco in advance moving to Hawaii in 1987.[6]
